To Mike,
We want to thank you for a marvelous trip. It was better than anything that we expected. If we can recommend you somehow, let us know.

On a different subject our biggest and only problem on our trip was tipping! We did not understand who we should be tipping and how much. We wanted to tip, because, although we are by no means rich, in relation to what the average worker makes in Vietnam, the few extra dollars to us might make a little difference to the people who helped us – but how much? and to whom? such as the maid who cleans our room, the men who take our bags from the car to the hotel lobby, the different man who takes our bags to our room, the man who gave us a boat ride, and how much do we give him in realation to our guide, and how much do we give the driver in relation to our guide. etc. We hear the response “Just pay what you want” but that is too general and was creating problems for us. A thought is for you to offer a short guide to tipping for your clients. Also we thought that our guides in Hanoi and in Ho Chi Minh City were excellent. Keep up the exceptional job you do.
